Horse Hair

This is from a case at law that required the identification of a horse based on a set of hairs found at a crime scene. Hairs from eleven similar appearing horses were submitted for compairison. This is one of the hairs from that investigation.

This hair belongs to the group Equus ferus. This group includes the varieties of domesticated horses.
