Aerosols
This category includes the aerosols themselves and deposits created on surfaces
as a result of the presence of aerosols.
Aerosols themselves are captured in air samples. On surfaces they deposit
diffusionally and then may deliquesce to form
crystalline deposits. Typical aerosols include soot, ammonium sulfate, sodium
chloride, sodium nitrate, ammonium nitrate,
calcium sulfate, and other efflorite salts.
