Charred Leaf Fragment
This is from a home impacted by a near approach of the
Etiwanda fire. The Etiwanda fire was typical of a Southern
California Chaparral fire. This fragment is from the veins of a deciduous leaf. The
finely space black bars normal to the long direction of the
particle are the reinforcing ribs of the veins.
