Pyrolyzed Calcium Oxalate Phytoliths and Burnt Clay
The black particle in this image is tire wear.
The two particles near the scale bars are pyrolyzed calcium
oxalate phytoliths. The particle near the upper pytolith and the particle next to
the tire wear are examples of burnt soil. This is from an
environmental tapelift collected after the Gatlinburg Fire of 2016.
