Glass Fiber from HVAC System Under the Microscope
The glass fiber becomes coated with small particles in the
air stream of the HVAC system. Soot is a common
component and tends to dominate the deposit. The beaded resin droplets can be seen
on this fiber. The spider silk below the glass fiber has
also collected some soot particles. This is from an environmental tapelift collected
in a home.
