Fresh Water Sponge Spickle Under the Microscope

Fresh Water Sponge Spickle

Fresh water sponge spickles are typically isotropic silicon dioxide with a refractive index of about 1.48. The central channel and the shading opposite the angle of the light beam are characteristic in this environmental tapelift. The refractive index of the mount is approxamately 1.49.
