House Finch Feather Barbule Under the Microscope

House Finch Feather Barbule

This is a house finch barbule from a home environmental tapelift. After it was detected the home owner was questioned about exposure to house finches. The home owner remarked that they had had a problem with finches making nests in their chimney and that a nest had fallen into their fireplace and they had finches flying around in the home in the recent past.
