Charred Redshanks (Adenostoma sparsiflolium) Bloom
This is ash from the bloom of Redshanks collected in
southern California. It was prepared in a laboratory
muffle furnace. The pyrolized calcium oxalate phytoliths can be seen in this section
of charred pedical.
