Alnus rubra, Red Alder Fiber
This is an image from a stained standard section of Alnus
rubra, Red Alder, made by John P. Limbach of Ripon, Wisconsin. The
vessel shows an alternate multiseriate pattern. The tracheids show very small
elongated pores and tend to terminate in a point.
