Aramid Fiber, Kevlar

This is a sample aramid fiber from the sample-set provided by Textile Fabric Consultants, Inc. Kevlar is a trademarked product of the E. I. DuPont Nemours Company. The high birefringence of the fiber results in the high order white interference color seen here. Striations can be seen running the length of the fiber.
