Forest Fire Dust

Forest Fire Dust

This is from a tapelift collected in a home impacted by a near approach of a large brush fire. It includes pyrolyzed calcium oxalate phytoliths and plant char along with skin flakes and other particles typical of home environments. There are also a number of cornstarch grains in this image as a result of the sampler wearing latex gloves. The starch grains are the donut shaped particles as a result of using circular polarized light.
