Charred Arizona Sycamore

This is an Arizona Sycamore standing a wildfire burn zone north of Banning, California. The fire was in the Spring and this photograph was taken a few weeks after the fire. The lower leaves, some of the twigs, and some of the bark on the trunk had been burned away. The duff, grasses and most of the lower shrubs had been burned away.
