Calcite Angles

This is a calcite crystal in a mounting medium of 1.664 refractive refractive index index medium with the linear polarizing filter aligned with the epsilon prime direction (bisecting the acute angle). The principle angles shown are approximately 105 and 75 degrees. There is a parting plane that bisects the acute angle.
