ASTM D-1275B Film
This is a black film formed on copper using ASTM D-1275B.
It contained no sulfur as determined by microprobe analysis.

Definition/Function:
ASTM D-1275B is reportedly a test for "corrosive sulfur" in transformer oil. The
presence of a black film at the end of the test is reported as
indicating corrosive sulfur in the oil. Under the conditions of the test there are many
black films that may form, some with no sulfur at all, as in
this case.
