Copper Debris from Arcing to Aluminum
This is an example of copper arc spheres from a conductor
cable in an aluminum tube core bushing on the surface of
the aluminum. In some areas the thermal energy of the copper sphere is sufficient to
melt and alloy with the aluminum. This forms the gold
colored metal mass at center left. In other areas the copper shows its typical
reddish color.

Characteristic Features:
The reddish color of the copper stands out in sharp contrast to the white of the
aluminum. In some areas the thermal energy in the molten arc
spheres of copper is sufficient to alloy with the aluminum to form aluminum bronze.
