Day Creek is a creek in Skagit County Washington that empties into the Skagit River. Transmitted darkfield dispersion staining is very effective with larger grains in a relatively clean mount. The condenser darkfield stop should be just a little larger than required to block in incoming beam.

Significance in the Environment:

Sand from this creek was used in a driveway and resulted in the contamination of adjacent home interiors.
