Dispersion Staining Color Chart

This chart shows the two colors that correspond to a particular wavelength at which the mounting medium and the particle match in refractive index. Three types of dispersion staining result in two colors at the same time, Colored Becke' Line, Oblique, and Phase Contrast dispersion staining. The matching wavelength can be determined by matching the two colors seen. If they are not directly over one another then select the wavelength that they bracket.
