This is a bright orange deposite of iron hydroxide created by iron-loving bacteria. The field of view is about half a meter by a third of a meter in dimension. The bacteria involved here include Conathrix, Crenothrix, Gillionella, Leptothrix, Siderocapsa, and Sphaerotilus
