Malt Vinegar Mother

This is a sample of a genaric malt vinegar mother". There are three types of bacteria, most about 0.5 micrometer in smallest dimension and about 0.8 to a micrometer in longest dimension. Some are spherical. Some are rods and some of the rods forming two-cell chains. A third type forms multiple cell chains and is about 0.2 micrometers in width and up to 5 micrometers long.
