Zircon, San Carlos, Mexico
Zircon grains in the sand at the beach in San Carlos tend
to be well formed, show little rounding, and have an aspect ratio
near 1. This zircon has a little higher aspect ratio and shows the effects of
rounding. It has been on the beach for a longer period of time.
