Iron Machining Residue

Iron Machining Residue

This is the side away from the cutting tool of an iron particle generated by drilling. The tool side would be smooth and shinny with striations running the long axis of the particle. There has been a secondary contact with a hard surface that created the scrapping on the lower left of this particle. This is from a tranformer oil Sample.
