Tsuga Canadensis, Eastern Hemlock Radial-Section

This is an image from a stained standard section of Tsuga canadensis made by John P. Limbach of Ripon, Wisconsin. This shows the "Piceoid" type cross-field pitting, aperture may extend beyond the border and is often distictly narrower than the border.
