Sand, Waipio Beach, Hawaii, Hawaii

This sand sample was collected on Waipio beach from the big island of Hawaii. It is a mixture of angular olivines and basalt primarily. The sand is well classified as a result of the relatively slow flow of the river that deposits this sand on the beach.
