Thermally Modified Glass Fiber
                This is a sample of glass fiber that has been heated to the
                  point that the particles on its surface have fused into
                  the fiber. The temperature was not sufficient to melt the glass but the particles on
                  the surface act as a surface flux and form an enamel.
