Chaparral Environments in North America

Chaparral is used here in its broadest of terms with regard to North American Environments. It is a biome of primarily sclerophyll and pyrophyte shrubs with some low growing trees. Fire is a natural part of these types of environments. Images of some of the particles from these fires can be found under "Fire Debris Particles". More detail about the chaparral environment can be found in the references at the end of this section.
